Bank transactions are started

The decision to start banking services on limited holidays to prevent coronavirus infection has been in effect since Sunday. The banking transaction will run from 8am to 12pm daily till Thursday.

The government has declared a public holiday from March 25 to April 7. However, the general holiday from March 25 to April 2. Prior to this, March 26 will be followed by Independence Day and later on March 27 and 28. In addition, the weekly holidays will be added on April 7 and 8. Therefore, Bangladesh Bank issued a notification on March 25 regarding the opening of the bank on a limited basis for a limited period of five days to facilitate customer transactions.

According to the notification, banks with online facilities for depositing and withdrawing cash only ensure the overall convenience of transactions of customers, taking into account the distance between the branches, so that the required number of branches can be opened.

Without online convenience, the bank's branches can be opened only for cash deposit and withdrawal. AD branches can be opened for emergency foreign transactions. In order to facilitate the continuation of transactions through ATMs and cards, sufficient notes should be provided in ATM booths and necessary arrangements should be made to keep them running continuously.
